Fukatsuya; a Very Japanese Café is renovated 150 years old folk house and is an adjacent “Sawamura marine store” which established in Edo period. The name “Fukatsuya” was given from “Sawamura Marine store”. The café’s post and beams ingrained history, and in the café, you will find a bicycle or a gramophone or a bare light bulb which had been used in Meiji era. Those atmospheres created good old days. You will also find post cards or potter’s ware in the café, those are good for gifts. Fukatsuya is the place you would like to make frequent trips.

香ばしい薫りが自慢の「炭焼きコーヒー」は、『崖の上のポニョ』を製作するにあたって鞆の浦に滞在していた宮崎駿監督が好んで注文したという一杯。
「ブレンドコーヒー」も看板商品で、鞆の町歩きの休憩に、ほっと一息つける優しい一品です。

深津屋さんには軽食もあって、夏場には冷たい「宇治金時」が、冬場にはあったかい「ぜんざい」が大人気。「宇治金時」と「ぜんざい」はそれぞれ750円。季節に合わせたメニューを、ゆったりと時間の流れる落ち着いた店内で味わえるのも、鞆の浦ならではですね。
歴史の積もった町家カフェの中で、かわいい調度品や陶器などの瀟洒な品々を眺めながら、ゆったり―ぜいたくな時間です。
